The
situation is identical is Iraq. What was the purpose of blasting
several thousand innocents into heaven when the situation it produced is actually more of
a threat to our security than was the continued dictatorship of Saddam Hussein? None of us
are quite sure what that reason was, although we all have our favourite suspicions: oil,
Israel, expenditure of military stockpiles and creation of lucrative contracts for
corporate supporters of the war machine to revive a disintegrating American economy.
But the
real question as America sinks into the suffocating hell of a
totalitarian dictatorship is this:
If our
leaders have been proved to be liars about the sick and sinful
destruction of humanity in Afghanistan and Iraq, why do a majority of Americans still
accept what these same lying leaders said about the 9/11 atrocity, that it was the work of
foreign terrorists who envied our freedom! As Gerard Holmgren once so aptly said, this is
the most ridiculous of all conspiracy theories to believe.
In the
history of the world, there has never been a bigger lie than 9/11,
yet most Americans still cling in closed-minded terror to the official story,
swallow their pride at airports as minimum-wage fascists probe their private

WHAT IS GENETIC ENGINEERING?
Any dispassionate assessment of potential benefits and
hazards of genetic engineering must begin with an understanding of the processes involved.
Genetically engineered (GE), trasgenic, genetically modified (GM), and transformed are all
terms that relate to a wide range of agricultural, industrial, and medical products in
which genetic codes have been altered using recombinant DNA techniques. Genetic engineers
intend to confer on the genetically engineered organism (GEO) new, desirable
characteristics not found in the original, unmodified organism (UMO). Eighty percent of
biotechnology research is directed at modification of food plants; the remaining on
non-food crops such as cotton, ornamental plants and pharmaceuticals.
THE GE PROCESS
a.
Agrobacterium: Called "nature's genetic engineer," this infectious bacterium
naturally transfers DNA to its plant host. The bacterium is modified to carry the
engineered gene, then introduced into a host plant cell, where the new genes integrate
into the host DNA of the plant cells. The technique has been criticized for the occasional
transfer of DNA from the bacteria and introduction of live-engineered bacteria into the
environment.
b. The gene gun: Gold or tungsten micro-particles are
coated with transgenes and fired into the targeted cells or tissues. One or more copies of

their effort to isolate the minimum number of genes an organism needs to survive. They
report on a project in which they aim to create a kind of life form by building each bit

then stacking the bits together like toy blocks. At the end of the effort, the scientists
can prove not only that the bits of genetic information they stack together can be

vice chairman of Enron, looks a lot like that of former White House Deputy Counsel Vincent
W. Foster Jr. Foster's death was pronounced a suicide by the U.S. Park Police when they

Could it be that a 17th century British mystic and poet,
who spent most of her life in austere poverty and seclusion in London, was an abductee? A
close perusal of Jane Lead's rare, three volume work, A Fountain of Gardens(1700)
indicates that this might have been the case. Couched in archaic English and laden with
imagery drawn from the Bible, Jane Lead's visions, by their high strangeness, and their
references to themes that would later be touched upon by those who claim to have been
taken aboard UFOs, indicate that at least a similar mental process was at work. Between

Summary: Seminis, the world's largest vegetable seed corporation,
announced on 28 June that it would eliminate 2,000 varieties or 25% of its total product
line as a cost-cutting measure. Seed industry consolidation is dramatically narrowing the
availability of non-hybrid vegetable varieties and a wealth of seed diversity is being
lost forever.
Back in 1980, seed activists and conservationists protested when
the European Community amalgamated its member states' National Lists (plant varieties
approved by governments for commercial sale) into a "Common Catalogue." When
Brussels' bureaucrats proposed a common seed roster, the seed companies obliged by
providing a "hit list" of over 1,500 variety "names" they claimed were
only national synonyms of other named varieties. The 1,500 "synonyms" became
"illegal" by decree. The deletions were not, of course, "synonyms."
When the Catalogue was finalized, nearly 1,000 distinct vegetable varieties were wiped out
of commercial existence simply because they represented low-profit competition in the form

The proliferation of technology in the past 20 years has
been a dizzying display of human ingenuity. The pace in which technology is altering
society seems almost astonishing. Nowhere is this more evident than in biotechnology.
Biotech companies have advanced genetics to the point they are able to alter, transform,
and manipulate the DNA codes of any plant or animal. With this new technology, biotech
companies are attempting to establish a 'consumer market' through the use, creation, and
legitimation of laws and science (hegemony).
Altering laws and creating new scientific techniques
that change the DNA codes of plants and animals to consolidate a global consumer market
has produced a bitter controversy in Europe, Canada, India, America, as well as various
developing nations. This controversy became a mainstream global issue in January 1999, and
with most controversies in society there is opposing factions, who have polarized the
issue. The main opposition to genetic engineering has been directed at Monsanto, a
chemical, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and consumer product company based out of St.
Louis, Missouri. However, in the middle of the debate are the world's food supply,

Behind the smokescreen of patriotism, national security and
ideology, they are driven by just one motive: greed. Every single one of these players is
a politician for reasons of expediency (power can buy more power). First and foremost,
they are corporate tycoons whose primary goal is to advance the cause of corporations.
Each one is worth millions and each one is now in a position to engineer policies that
will insure they will ultimately be worth millions more.
These policies are now in the process of being pushed forward,
and have so far being met with an astonishing lack of resistance. This may be because many
Americans, including some Congress members, are too young to recall the true nature of the
Cold War era. It may also be that some have simply failed to make themselves sufficiently
informed on the nation's political history. It is impossible to believe that anyone armed
with the facts would fail to see the ugly template that is now being forced down over the
face of the nation.
This
article presents a chunk of political history that we hope will serve as a cautionary
tale. It clearly exemplifies what the "political dinosaurs" now in charge of our
nation are all about, how they operated in the past, and how they still hope to operate.
The main figure, Henry Kissinger, personifies to a T the snake-like combination of
unscrupulousness and superficial charm that characterizes all of these players, from Bush,
Sr. to G.W. The setting, Indonesia, personifies all areas of Earth where any natural
resources may be left for a greedy few to exploit in the name of "patriotism"
and "national security," be it Africa, the Amazon, Ukraine, or northern Alaska.
